Brisbane, Australia 11th May 2024 Dwayne Glasgow and Micheal Reberger presented Honour Premier League featuring ISKA World Championship Muay Thai at the Fortitude Valley Music Hall. ISKA World Champion Alfie Smith (Australia) defended his ISKA World Light Welterweight Muay Thai title 65kg against Kyohei Furumura (Japan). The Champion, Smith edged the opening rounds and was on his way to winning the third round but with twenty seconds left Furumura connected with a heavy right hand sending Smith crashing to the canvas facedown, the capacity crowd collectively held its breath as miraculously Smith got to his feet beating the count and managing to stay out of trouble and survive the round. Both fighters displayed extreme levels of toughness and durability, Smith regained control of the fight and skilfully outpointed Furumura to win a unanimous decision to retain his World title.
