ISKA Japan: JMAEXPO Results

Yokohama, Japan 19th October 2024, the inaugural JAPAN MARTIAL ARTS EXPO presented by the Japan Martial Arts Consortium, led by producers Sadaharu Tanikawa and Iwa Nagarejima was staged at the Buntai Arena. JMAEXPO brought together Japan’s leading promotions K-1, RIZIN, Quintet and Granryujima, all fielding fighters under a variety of combat sports rules. The first half of the event was contested on the open platform (wrestling mat) then a cage was erected during the interval for the striking matches. In the main event former 2-time K-1 MAX Champion Buakaw Banchamek faced former ISKA World Champion Kouzi in a special rules no decision Boxing match, you can only win by KO/TKO. Buakaw came close to stopping Kouzi in the final round, but Kouzi stayed on his feet and the match was declare a draw. In the co-main event former K-1 Champion Taito Gunji defeated Christian Bogdan in a tough five round contest to capture the ISKA Intercontinental Super-featherweight title 59kg OR.
