SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND — October 3, 2026 — George Mouzakitis captured the ISKA World Welterweight Muay Thai Championship with a dramatic fourth-round knockout over defending champion Jack Kennedy at MTGP Sheffield, held at the Canon Medical Arena.
The two English fighters met for the world title at 67kg. Kennedy entered as reigning champion and appeared to be building a lead on the judges’ scorecards during the opening rounds.
The momentum shifted in the third when Mouzakitis scored a knockdown and put the champion under significant pressure. Kennedy recovered and continued, but Mouzakitis maintained his attack into the fourth round, scoring another knockdown before delivering the decisive finish.
A powerful knee to the body sent Kennedy to the canvas. He could not beat the referee’s count, and Mouzakitis was declared the winner by knockout.
